The Avalon East Community Owners Association (COA) oversees the upkeep of amenities such as the pool, sports courts, fitness center, and Barn (Clubhouse), along with other shared property. Membership in the COA, granting access to these facilities, is automatic for Unit owners of Avalon Courtyard Homes, Avalon 5 Townhomes, Avalon 6 Condominiums, and Avalon Estate Homes.

It's important to note that the Avalon East property and its amenities are exclusively for the use of Avalon East Unit Owners who are in good standing; they are not open to the public.

Representing the 199-home Avalon Community, the Avalon East Board of Directors (referred to as "The Board") is tasked with managing and preserving community property and amenities. This includes financial responsibilities such as budgeting and collecting COA membership dues. Dues are assessed semi-annually, with payments due on January 1st and July 1st each year.

The Board holds regular meetings—monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly—at the Barn (Clubhouse) located at 2 Peregrine Ct. Pikesville, MD 21208.
